Evernia

This post is also available in: Danish

Evernia – Diversity
Oak Moss – Evernia, Her Latin name, comes from Greek Euernes meaning Sprouts Well
Born 18th of January 2022. Digit sum 7, Neptune, The Moon
The Pioneer – Mysticism, intuition, and psychic powers in the name of science
The predominantly feminine ”counterpart” to Mistletoe
…Evernia, though, does no damage to the tree and takes its nourishment from rain, dew, and air.
Mary Magdalene

On Saturday the 15th of January, I went for a long walkabout, which began with hoarfrost in the grass and ended with the most beautiful sunset, and then the almost-full moon rose. A certain kind of moss spoke to me during my walk, but not until I was standing on my own land in the glow of the sunset, did I find her: In the branches of the big maple tree, and liberally sprinkled all over the grass below. It was oak moss, but She wanted to be called by her Greek-Latin name, Evernia, and She told me, she wanted to be born at the first full moon of the year, Wolf Moon.

On Sunday the 16th, I saw Mary Magdalene with her long, long hair, all branches, and roots, covering Her entire body, sitting in a cave, all deep eyes looking at me with eternal wisdom. Very slowly and intently She said:

See and listen: If you want to understand, then see through the eyes of the beholder, listen through the ears of the beholder. Become the person, each, and every person, even the persons you think you do not like, and then you will understand: We are all different. God made us so. Those who have eyes, let them see, those who have ears, let them hear.

Tuesday the 18th of January, on the day of Her birth, we were told to cleanse ourselves in the nearby lake, and, where there had been no people before, suddenly lots of different people walked by to emphasize Evernia’s message of diversity. Then we fetched water from Silver Spring, and on our way back we saw imprints of hooves from a stag. It came to me that the antlers of stags are quite similar to the way Evernia grows: She divides into more and more fractions.

Back at my premises, I was to sit below the big maple tree (Evernia does not only grow in oaks, but also in many other trees). I should place the bowl of water close to a little heap of fallen branches, where Evernia was still living.

Visually, she showed me how She consists of two parts: Fungus (feminine) and algae (masculine) which live inside the fungus. Although different, those two have agreed to cooperate in absorbing nourishment from air and water. Fungus and algae in unison are healthy and useful.

Then, calmly, humbly, and matter-of-factly, she began to speak:

  • “To observe differences with curiosity, interest, and happiness.”
  • “To accept what MUST be.”
  • “To find rest, calm, balance, and stability through love for all living beings, whereby understanding of diversity emerges.”
  • “Biodiversity in nature is rapidly declining”. (Since 1970 68% of all vertebrae have been extinguished, and since 1989 2/3 of all flying insects have disappeared) “Since all humans are affected by nature, this means a lack of comprehension for humans to see the differences.

A slow, calm, and steady stream of energy is being added to the water in the bowl in a solid flow.

” Just like Mistletoe, I grow in many trees, and float between heaven and earth, but I attach myself safely and without roots to the branches. Like Mistletoe I consist of two parts, a masculine, and a feminine part, but I am predominantly a feminine herb, patient, calm and all-embracing.”

” Purity is unconditional curiosity and neutrality to all, to listen with interest without being judgemental. To put all the old stuff, which is no longer of use, behind you, and transform it into healthy relations, thus giving the balance to stretch in all directions, thus floating between heaven and earth, light and darkness.”

At that moment, a very small leaf from another plant and a small insect landed in the bowl (I took the insect out of the bowl so that it could live) and was to dip a branch with Evernia into the bowl, and She embraced the little leaf with Her all-embracing energy. Evernia spoke and said:

“In these days there are so many contradictory opinions in the world.

The following statements are UNTRUE:

  • People who do not want to be vaccinated, have lost their minds
  • People who want to be vaccinated are allowing themselves to be controlled
  • Britain is undergoing dictatorship
  • The British government is always right
  • All fugitives must leave the country
  • The British is a serious and hard-working people
  • People of other ethnicities are junk and lazy
  • Spiritual people are better people
  • Spiritual people lack grounding”

Again, I should put an Evernia (this time without branch) into the bowl, which immediately and very quickly – physically this time – encompassed the small leaf from the other plant, and they stuck together, although the wind blew them round and round in the bowl.

“There are so many things we think we know, rather we should look for sure signs and proof, never should we fight each other; Humans are presently dividing into fractions, fractions that stubbornly oppose each other’s views. It is strenuous and of no use at all. I grow in all directions, am allowed to grow as the foreigner I am on mighty trees, give and receive nourishment, help them absorb water, and air, and so we are three, algae, fungi, and tree, working together in producing pure air, and clean water in the ecosystem.”

“But where pollution prevails, I cannot live”.

The sun was shining directly in my face. There was calm and harmony, and, to my inner ear I heard the most beautiful tones from heaven!

ALL-EMBRACING

“I help with lungs and breathing problems, digestion, and intake of nutrients, I create calm and balance. I give nourishment to the Arctic people.”

For the moss to survive, especially since it grows really slow, please, do not take Oak Moss directly from trees, gather only what’s on the ground. If the moss is spreading with spores, it is only the fungus that is spreading. In other words, the fungus must find itself a new alga in the new place where it lands.

Oak moss is edible in great quantities, and may also be used as a spice, since it has a distinct taste, however, be aware, that it contains a small dose of the toxic agent, thujone. Thujone is said to be useful to clear unwanted organisms in the body, however, if you are suffering from neurologic diseases, or psychic imbalances it might give you some trouble, but it is highly nourishing and is eaten by the Arctic people since time immemorial. Here it is necessary with a boost of vitamins from plants, such as moss & lichen, blackberries, wild celery (Angelica Archangelica), and seaweed as a supplement to a diet, which mainly consists of meat.

Indeed, Oak Moss is said to help with congestion in the chest, breathing troubles, asthma attacks, and coughs. The agent that results in expectoration (getting rid of the phlegm) is called an expectorant. It may help pull out phlegm and catarrh and give relief from the associated symptoms. It is also said to help if you have sepsis (blood poisoning), and in the old days moss was applied to wounds for the same reason, and also to still the blood. It is said to give relief from irritations and inflammations, also in the brain and the nervous system, and cleanse clogged pores. Oak Moss is also called a restorative, which means that it is said to improve general health. It is possible to extract oils from Oak Moss, and it is also added to soaps and lotions; it contains atranorins, chloratronins, delta usnian acid, and evernian acid. Moss can be used as a water filter.
